A Super Soul

"Great personalities make themselves great, they are not great"

Hey hello everyone!!..., this is SUPRIYO DAS, writing his fourth blog on the topic 'A Super Soul'.

This blog of mine will be different from others because I'll, in this blog, give you a super-solid content-based case study on A super soul-
"His Divine Grace Abhay Charanaravindra Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada", the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousnesses (ISKCON).

After reading this blog, you will be able to learn about:
Punctuality  ✅
Time management  ✅
Leadership  ✅
Scaling up of an institution  ✅
Organisation development  ✅
Sustainability  ✅
Processing  ✅
People skill  ✅
Rapid expansion  ✅
Maintaining growth and speed  ✅

So let's get started...

His Dvine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada was born in 1896, Bengal.
His mother passed away at the age when Srila Prabhupada was just 14. Prabhupada was not a saint since birth, he used to have a Prayagraj Pharmaceutical in Bengal.

In 1922, when Prabhupada met his Guru Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati, His Guru, by seeing Prabhupada, came to learn that he was not a common personality. He ordered Srila Prabhupada to translate Bhagavad Gita and distribute it worldwide. Srila Prabhupada sticked his heart with the words of his Guru and started to follow it too.

"गुरु-मुख- पद्म- वाक्य, चित्तेतॆ कोरिया ऐक्य"

To stitch the words of the Guru with our Heart

Now, by this incident we can learn from Prabhupada the  Sincerity and Honour-giving quality. He made the words of his Guru his Goal.

Since, there were no laptops, typewriters at that time, he started to write Bhagavad Gita manually. He used to translate Bhagvatam and write the book 'Back to Godhead'.
After one year of full translations and writings, one day when Prabhupada entered his room, became astonished by feeling the absence of the translated pages of bhagvatam. He asked his wife about the pages and the answer from his wife made him astonished. His wife had sold the pages and in return buyed tea. He asked tea or me... His wife replied tea...
Then and there he left his home and adopted the Sanyasi lifestyle and started to translate the Bhagavad Gita again.

Now, by this incident, we can learn to Sacrifice to Achieve our Goal. He knew well that if he would continue his married life,  he'll face more issues towards path of goal. So he sacrificed his married lifestyle.

Prabhupad then thought that the No.1 place in the world is America and the No.1 place in America is New York. So he went to New York at 70 years age.

Between the journey to New York-a 32 days long one, he faced Heart Attack 2 times.
With him he took some books, some $7-8.
After reaching Thompkins Square Park, New York he saw that many hippies which were coming out of their homes due to the tensions from the war between America-Vietnam, were laying down on the streets everywhere and making the place rubbish. There he started to cultivate the most difficult manpower-The Hippies.
His rule was to "first Mediation and then correction".

He started to chant Hare Krishna  between the Hippies.
He used to love them, give Gulab Jamuns to them.
But the Hippies used to annoy him, steal his things, used to smoke out cigarettes onto his face. But Prabhupad used to love them.

                            "श्री गुरु करुणा सिंधु"
He was the ocean of kindness.

Now, by this part of Prabhupada's life, we come to learn to initate to achieve our goal and be kind to be stable

After gaining immense love and kindness and learnings of Bhagavad Gita from Srila Prabhupada, the Hippies Became Happies.

The Govt. of America also thanked Prabhupada for solving out the issue of Hippies.
After making the hippies, the happies, Srila Prabhupada made about 10,000 volunteers and send them across continents and countries to spread the Bhagavad Gita and it's learnings.

Now by this incident of Prabhupada, we come to learn that we shouldn't stop after achieving a bit. We should KEEP WALKING TO KEEP ACHIEVING and that what Prabhupada did, he kept on moving till his death.

At that time he wrote about 10,000 letters to his disciples beyond countries.
After the discovery of Dicta Phone, he started to record his lessons and learnings.

Now by this part of Prabhupada's life, we come to learn about the Punctuality and Management skills from Prabhupada.

Now a special event took place in Prabhupada's life. A reporter came to Prabhupada and asked him "Swami Ji, India is a land of gods, every weekend a God comes from India and says that he's a god. Are you also a god??"
Prabhupada became astonished and replied "I'm not a god, I'm trying to become a Servant of God"

Reporter got shocked and then in every newspapers headlines printed "FIRST PERSON FROM INDIA, WHO SAYS HE'S NOT GOD, HE'S TRYING TO BECOME A SERVANT OF GOD"

Prabhupada was a super personality.
He by carefully and mindedly managing his:
Managerial issues  ✅
Personal issues  ✅
Professional issues  ✅
"Built 108 temples from 1 temple in just 12 years across 6 continents"

From 1965 to 1977,  he totally devoted himself towards his goal. The most unimaginable thing of his was he slept only for 2 hrs. and offer services for 22 hrs.

He was giving an Obsessive Attention to Detail without wasting a piece of time.

His communication skills, time management, life time volunteers, Elephantine Focused Advantage made him built 108 temples without having any private equity or venture capital.

Some of the amazing facts of Srila Prabhupada were:
👉He acquired acres and acres of land and properties but all donated to ISKCON, not a bit given to his children

👉He started Jagannath Ji Rath Yatra world wide for the first time

👉After doing all these, he didn't stop here. He started the "WORLD'S LARGEST VEGETARIAN FOOD RELIEF PROGRAM-FOOD FOR LIFE"

👉Acquired mid-day meal scheme and distributed meals to 14 lakhs children daily. Even now it is continuing

👉Prabhupada at the age of 81, in his death-bed, in his last breaths, was continuing to speak the lessons of Bhagavatam...
Doctors said "Impossible, how it can be??"
They exclaimed but Prabhupada did his work until his last breath.
Why??...
Because his Guru has had given him instructions.

He was actually a Super Soul.

Srila Prabhupada was an extreme super personality with lots of things to learn from him.

And do you all know what's today?

Today is the 125th Birth Anniversary of Srila Prabhupada-the ISKCON's founder-acharya

Prabhupad was able to achieve his goal only because of his skills and did the Impossible, the Possible...

So are you all ready to achieve your goal without thinking its possibilities of accomplishment or not??...

And Do Wish Srila Prabhupada a glorious and happy 125th birthday...🎂🎂
